Club Deportivo Guadalajara (also known as Chivas - Goats), is the only football club in Mexico's history that has had only Mexican born players. Guadalajara plays in the Primera División de México and is the most popular team in Mexico. They are the most successful club in Mexican football history, with 11 League Championships. The team's popularity in the U.S. has led to the creation of a Major League Soccer expansion club in the United States, Chivas USA which has players from Mexico plus the United States. On December 10, 2006 Chivas won their 11th Professional Championship, the most in Mexican football.
